The unit was infested with gnats. On-site staff was knocking on doors demanding to know if we left the trash that someone placed outside. Was very loud and accusatory.

Accommodation’s were horrible Condo had a horrible smell that hit you as you entered the main bath and ensuite had a smell of rotten eggs possible backup sewage problem previous guest body hair around the shower and toilet area in both bathrooms the tiles had spill stains which obviously was not cleaned from prior guest . The main bed was horrible sank in the middle could not sleep in the bed at all previous back surgery made for a very uncomfortable vacation with no good rest after paying what this place cost us the other two beds were not much better but better then the main The front door had a huge gape that you could see the outside from the inside with the door closed that left us with the uncertainty of safety for our family and our personal belongings the entry gate did not work and any day EVER and I stress EVER as there was always a line up of vehicles trying to enter the resort and no one code worked so this was not an isolated case it was an overall resort issue causing the un-safety measure of having to enter the resort through the exit gate once someone came out almost causing a head on collision at times between multiple guest staying in the area . Overall this was the worst vacation stay we have ever encounterd while visiting Orlando it caused huge problems for our family being slept deprived with the horrible beds to the uncertainty of safety with our accommodations and the waste of valuable time getting into the resort with the malfunctioning gate entry this was definitely a disaster and a waste of our time and money .. We do not have any good experience to share with this place we trusted to stay . Global Vacations need to do better this is totally unacceptable and you need to take responsibility to your guest in offering what you are selling which is not this . If we had known this resort was so poorly managed and ran down deteriorating as it is we would have stayed at a hotel we chose this place paid the fees for comfort and relaxation nothing about this place was acceptable .

We had an issue with our first unit but the company was very fast to respond and have someone come look at it. Unfortunately they couldn't fix the issue during our stay but did offer to move us to a new unit. Both units were very clean, we've stayed at story lake before and love the area.
